Patient Access Liaison – Cardiovascular Medicine

Position Overview
The Patient Access Liaison plays a critical role in supporting Cardiovascular Medicine by owning and managing provider schedules across all sites of practice. This role is ideal for someone with strong medical scheduling experience who understands how accurate templates and proactive access management directly impact patient care and provider efficiency.
You will serve as the centralized scheduling resource for the cardiovascular service line, ensuring consistent, standardized scheduling practices while collaborating closely with Contact Center teams, RPO, clinics, and leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Own and manage the master schedule templates for the cardiovascular service line, including all schedule changes
Act as the primary authority for provider scheduling, ensuring accuracy and consistency across all clinic locations
Proactively monitor, manage, and report on outpatient clinic availability for all scheduled cardiovascular resources
Serve as a central point of contact for patient access and scheduling for referring physicians, patients, and internal teams
Collaborate with Contact Center and RPO teams to support efficient patient scheduling and access
Ensure standardized scheduling protocols, processes, and procedures are followed across all sites
Maintain consistent provider templates and master schedules to support operational efficiency and patient access
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- High School or G.E.D. equivalent. Associates degree/ two years or more of college is preferred.
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience in a business office/healthcare environment including experience with scheduling appointments and schedule maintenance.
- Analytical ability required preparing physicians' schedules is preferred.
- Familiarity with computer applications in a PC and patient scheduling environment is required as well as the strong Microsoft office skills.
Required Qualifications
Demonstrated experience in medical scheduling (required)
Experience managing provider templates and clinic schedules across multiple locations preferred
Strong understanding of patient access workflows in a healthcare or clinical environment
Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage complex scheduling needs
Strong communication and collaboration skills
