Are you ready to play an integral role in the treatment and care of athletes? Henry Ford Health is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Athletic Trainer who will help support the growth of the sports medicine outreach program assisting with AT services at high schools and universities. As a part of our vibrant community, you’ll play a crucial role in shaping the health, performance, and success of our athletes and patients.
About this position:
The Athletic Trainer is placed in various sites for provision of services including, but not limited to, high school/college/university, outreach programming, community events and engagements, and HFHS sites. Develops, implements, and maintains comprehensive health care programs for athletes and other patients.

What You’ll Do:
- Provide athletic training services to our athletes and patients in a variety of settings.
- Be the liaison between Henry Ford Health and your various assignments to help coordinate appointments within the health system.
- Collaborate with Henry Ford Health physicians and various healthcare professionals to deliver integrated care.
- Play a hands-on role in helping athletes reach their peak performance by delivering individualized care for both injuries and overall wellness.
- Educate on best practices for maintaining health and promote long-term wellness.
- Expand your skills by offering services beyond the school, including assisting in physician clinics, community outreach, and engagement events.

What We’re Looking For:
- Board of Certification (ATC) and Michigan state licensure (or eligibility to obtain before hire).
- A post-professional master’s degree in athletic training or related field is preferred, along with two years of experience (can be combination of education and experience).
- Strong ability to work independently while thriving in a team-oriented environment.
- Knowledge and adherence to NCAA, NJCAA, and MHSAA policies, with a commitment to supporting community outreach programs.
Additional Skills or Certifications:
- Additional certifications like CSCS, PES, FMS, CKTP, EMT are highly valued.
