Senior Specialist - Public Relations, Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
MINIMUM EDUCATION:
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university in Journalism, Public Relations, Communications or a related field.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
- Seven or more years experience in newspaper or magazine reporting, public relations or a similar field.
- Must be guided by a compelling "client/customer" orientation.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- At least 5 years of experience working with community groups, organizing community meetings, and facilitating community discussions
- Experience communicating with and scheduling community events on behalf of HFHS providers and other clinical staff
- Managing newsletter production from start to finish including editing, content creation and meeting print deadlines
- Health care experience a plus.
JOB KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
- Excellent writing and editing skills
- Works extremely well with colleagues and customers.
- Computer skills: word processing and desktop publishing.
