GENERAL SUMMARY:

Under direct supervision, assist in transporting vehicles to and from the hospital entrance to valet parking areas and assists in traffic control at the hospital entrances. 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Greet and assists patients and /or visitors with vehicles when arriving or departing from the hospital. 

  • Assists patients and /or visitors into and out of vehicles as the need or request arises must possess ability to lift at least 50lbs. 

  • Receives cars from staff or visitors, drives to assigned parking area and returns when requested, in a safe and quick manner. 

  • Examines each valet car received for any dents and/or scratches and notes damage on valet ticket and reports damage to Leader prior to parking. 

  • Issues ticket to patient/visitor.  Responsible for accurately completing valet ticket and turns into appropriate drop area. 

  • Responsible for accounting of all tickets issued and their appropriate use.  All vehicles entrusted to valet drivers will be treated with care.  There will be no speeding, careless use, squealing wheels or other mistreatment of said vehicles. 

  • Responsible for informing leader/supervisor or manager of any changes or restrictions in driving license privileges. Responsible for all equipment and supplies necessary to perform responsibilities. Performs other related duties as required.   

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 

  • High School/G.E.D. equivalent preferred. 

  • Must be able to read and write to understand oral and written instructions. 

  • Must learn to operate a manual transmission upon hire. 

  • Must have near and far visual acuity and depth and spatial perception when driving vehicles. 

  • Must always be clean neat and professional in appearance

  • Exceptional Customer Service required. 

  

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:

  • Must have a valid driver’s license in good standing, 3 or fewer points.  

  • Must meet or exceed core customer service responsibilities

 PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS:

Works outdoors on hard uneven pavement. Exposure to all weather conditions, as well as carbon monoxide fumes, frequently standing and getting in and out of cars, talking and hearing are necessary when communicating with staff and visitors.
