Social Worker Home Care- Contingent - Metro Detroit
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Master's degree in social work and at least one (1) year of social work experience in a health care setting are required.
- Knowledge of the principles of human behavior, individual and group counseling techniques and relevant statutes and regulations and current certification by the State of Michigan required.
- Requires very high levels of social sensitivity, personal emotional adjustment and verbal skills in order to provide counseling and assist and influence others. Requires a professional level of analytical skills in order to solve problems and analyze and develop policies and procedures.
- Must possess a current State of Michigan driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.
- Must have reliable transportation and a telephone.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- May need to lift, carry, bend, stoop or be otherwise physically active in the normal course of job duties.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Works in the client's home which is an uncontrolled environment.
- May be exposed to potentially infectious materials, bloodborne disease pathogens and hazardous waste.
- Drives to and from clients' homes located in the Detroit Metropolitan area in varied weather and traffic conditions.
