A new 36 hour per week opportunity is now available on the in-patient Oncology unit at the Henry Ford Hospital in midtown Detroit.

Henry Ford Hospital’s top priorities are patient safety, patient care, and customer service. Zero harm. 100% reliable.
Catheter associated urinary tract infections (CAUTI’s) have continued to decrease for the last 4 years.
Nurses are educated and trained on fall prevention procedures and hospital acquired pressure injuries (HAPI’s).
The hospital has a designated PICC team who continually work to decrease central line associated blood stream infections (CLABSI’s).
A designated IV team within the hospital does the majority of IV insertions.
Henry Ford Hospital is on the Shared Governance nursing practice model.

• Position: 36 hours per week/Three 12 hour shifts
• Shift: Midnights 7 pm to 7:30 am / every other weekend after unit training
• Benefits: Full time benefit package
• Patient ratio is 4 to 5 patients per nurse.

UNIT OVERVIEW:
• 40 bed unit with all private rooms.
• Patient population encompasses all aspects of cancer care: medical oncology, inpatient chemotherapy, bone marrow transplant, hematology, hospice, palliative medicine, and Phase I & II clinical trials.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:


• Nursing degree required from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current licensed RN in the State of Michigan.
• Current BLS certification
• RN’s with a minimum of 6 months experience preferred.
• Above average communication skills.
