EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.

 

CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSURES:

  • Must maintain current Michigan licensure as a Registered Nurse. Hospice certification preferred.
  • A working knowledge of current pain and symptom management, and experience appropriate to the needs of hospice patients and their families is preferred.

 

 PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Physical and health status which would accommodate delivery of duties and access to patient homes.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Works in a clean, well-lighted office environment, on nursing units and patient homes.
  • Occasionally subjected to irregular working hours. Shares on-call responsibilities.
  • May be exposed to communicable diseases and environmental hazards on the nursing unit and in the homes of patients.
  • Occasional pressure due to multiple calls and inquires.
  • May travel to homes during variable weather conditions.
  • Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
Pay grade G27- Starting at 26.01 an hour. This rate is the minimum pay for the position.  Actual compensation will be based on education, years of experience, and other factors at the time of offer.
