Join Henry Ford Health as a Pharmacy Compliance Packaging Coordinator an opportunity to step into a leadership focused Pharmacist role that makes an impact. This role will be floating between our Troy and Detroit location.
GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Coordinator Pharmacist for Centralized Compliance Packaging reports to the Manager or Director of Centralized Compliance Packaging and supports daily operational oversight across clinical and production sites. This role performs delegated system and operational tasks and provides continuity of leadership in the absence of management.
PRINCPLE DUTIES & RESPONSBILITIES:
- The Coordinator Pharmacist ensures effective communication, workflow coordination, and safe, compliant operations between remote clinical services and onsite production teams. This position supports safety, productivity, scheduling, and adherence to policies and workflows
- Perform delegated operational, system, and workflow tasks on behalf of management and provide leadership coverage in the absence of the Manager or Director
- Oversee and ensure effective communication and coordination between the clinical department and the centralized production site
- Assist with pharmacist scheduling, rotation planning, and coordination with technician supervisors to ensure adequate staffing and coverage
- Support daily operations by identifying and addressing system‑related issues, workflow barriers, and operational challenges
- Facilitate and participate in clinical and production team huddles to promote safety, productivity, and operational alignment
- Assist the Manager or Director with credentialing processes, policy adherence, workflow implementation, and continuous operational improvement
- The Coordinator Pharmacist performs both clinical and production pharmacist duties at all sites, including prescription, data, and compliance packaging verification

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Must have two (2) years of community/retail Pharmacist experience.
- Prior work experience as a leader in a community/retail pharmacy environment preferred.
- Proficiency in oral and written communication skills enabling him/her to contribute effectively in the dissemination of drug information to all levels of health personnel in the system.
- Must demonstrate knowledge of managed care and progressive pharmacy practice.
- Must demonstrate the ability to work effectively with others in providing services for patients.
- He/she must possess an understanding of the pathophysiology and pharmacotherapy of disease states and have the application skills needed to permit proper integration of these in monitoring drug therapy.
- Computer literacy and knowledge of pharmacy computer order entry systems.
- Must have a previous work history of reliability, dependability, and a willingness to assume additional responsibility.
- Must demonstrate leadership ability in working with and coordinating activities of others in developing improved operational and clinical services.
- Exemplary oral and written communication skills as evidenced by prior examples of effective implementation of strategies with a variety of system personnel and patients.
- Ability to lead work groups effectively.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:
- Current Michigan licensure as a Registered Pharmacist.
- Michigan licensure as an Approved Preceptor preferred.
