Occupational Therapist - Home Health Division - Full Time - Days - Jackson
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Evaluate patient needs and set appropriate treatment plan based on measurable goals.
- Communicates effectively with patient and caregiver promoting patient satisfaction and the achievement of goals.
- Assists the patient to optimal level of physical function.
- Assists the patient to restore sensory / integrative function.
- Improves the patient’s level of independence performing activities of daily living (ADL).
- Designs, fabricates orthotic and self-help devices.
- Possesses vocational and pre-vocational assessment training.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelors from an Accredited Occupational Therapist Program
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Excellent communication and organization skills required
- Physically capable of standing, walking, stooping, bending, and lifting to 50 pounds.
- Ability to problem solve, excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:
- Licensure in the State of Michigan as an Occupational Therapist is required.
- Valid Michigan driver’s license and dependable vehicle insured as required by the State of Michigan.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Masters degree from an Accredited Occupational Therapist Program
- Home Care experience highly preferred
