OB/GYN Laborist
Henry Ford Health System is seeking a Board Certified OB/GYN Laborist Physician to join the Henry Ford Medical Group as a night OB hospitalist at Henry Ford Hospital, working ten 14-24 hour shifts per month.
Henry Ford Hospital offers level III perinatal services (Maternal Fetal Medicine and Neonatology), 24 hour OB Anesthesiologist led anesthesia coverage and averages 215 deliveries per month. All OB/GYN specialties are represented in the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology which includes a 16 resident ACGME accredited training program and a clinically strong OB/GYN generalist and midwifery service.
Responsibilities:
• Triage, labor and delivery management
• Provide support to, and work collaboratively with, Certified Nurse Midwifery group
• Provide appropriate oversight and clinical teaching of medical students, residents and other learners
• Complete OB/GYN consults, including those from the Emergency Department
• Perform minor GYN surgeries
Ideal candidate should be:
• Board-certified OB/GYN (MD or DO)
• Proficient with hospital EMR systems
• Clinically excellent and have prior experience in a busy obstetrical practice
• An exceptional communicator
• Devoted to providing quality, patient centered care
• Strongly interested in resident and medical student education
