Nurse Practitioner Physician Assistant/Cardiac Surgery/Macomb/Rotating/36 Hours
- Must be a Masters prepared Registered Nurse who has graduated and taken the board certification within their chosen specialty -OR- Must be a Masters prepared Physician Assistant who has graduated from an approved AMA school
- Must have no encumbering circumstances, which would prevent credentialing by the Henry Ford Medical board
- Requires licensure as a Certified Nurse Practitioner; licensure as a Registered Nurse -OR- Requires licensure as a Physician Assistant
- Must be eligible or have obtained a DEA number for prescriptive authority in Michigan
- BCLS Certification required
- ACLS Certification required
- Requires certification in one of the following: ANA certification exam in a nursing specialty field; National Certification Corporation (NCC); National Certification Board of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and Associates; and/or Certification from Michigan State Board of Nursing as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) -OR- Continued certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistant (NCCPA)
- A minimum of 1 year working as an APP in the CVICU or an ICU is preferred
- A Physician Assistant or an NP with an Acute Care NP degree is preferred
