Network Field Engineer
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business or related field.
- CNE Certification is very desirable.
- Other certification, as appropriate.
- In-depth training on Server, LAN, and WAN hardware and software installed in the HAP environment, obtained by attending formal classes.
- Related and relevant experience or a demonstrated ability to perform the duties of the position may be considered in lieu of academic requirements.
- Four (4) years’ experience working with Local and Wide Area Networks and server hardware and software, with a minimum of one (1) year of responsibility for in-depth technical support of this equipment.
- Two (2) years’ experience in implementing, installing and cutting over LAN, WAN, and server hardware and software.
- Must be able to lead/participate as a member of a team with other support personnel
- Must be able to mentor other personnel on LAN, WAN and server hardware and software, tools and test equipment, and procedures
- Analytical, planning and discipline skills necessary to complete the required duties and responsibilities Excellent oral and written communications skills necessary to define, relate, and document plans while interfacing with all levels of personnel and outside contacts
- Good physical coordination, including eye/hand control for occasions when equipment troubleshooting and repair are necessary
