Minimum Education
-
Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
Minimum Work Experience
-
At least (2) years of experience in Certified Home Health Care or Hospice required; experience in both Home Health and Hospice preferred

A least (1) year of experience in Quality Assurance in Home Health or Hospice required.
Required Licenses/Certifications
-
Current Michigan nursing license required.
-
Valid driver’s license and dependable vehicle insured as required by the State of Michigan.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
-
Ability to problem-solve with effective verbal and written communication skills is required.
-
Working knowledge of OASIS and coding for Home Health Care is required; additional knowledge of HIS and coding for Hospice preferred.

Possesses strong nursing processes, critical thinking, advanced assessment skills and knowledge about of pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patient care is required.

Interpersonal skills to effectively lead the specialty programs and quality plans are required.
Preferred Qualifications
-
Prior experience in a supervisory capacity desired.

Clinical Quality Experience in both Home Health Care and Hospice preferred
-
COS-C certification preferred.

ICD-10 coding experience and/or certification preferred.

Clinical, Quality and Educational program development experience preferred.
