EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Associates Degree in Nursing or completion of other formal nursing education necessary to obtain/maintain a State of Michigan nursing license.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of acute care experience. Minimum of two (2) years of progressively more responsible leadership experience in a clinical setting.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills necessary to provide instruction to associates and convey information clearly and consistently through excellent written and verbal communication mediums. Clinical knowledge to evaluate level of patient care needed for assigned area.
  • Ability to work independently, exercise creativity, be attentive to detail, and maintain a positive attitude. Strong organizational skills and abilities to manage multiple and simultaneous responsibilities and to prioritize scheduling of work responsibilities.
  • Ability to complete work assignments accurately and in a timely manner.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:

  • Current license to practice in the State of Michigan as a Registered Nurse.
  • BLS certification.
  • Must complete Non-Abusive Psychological and Physical Intervention (NAPPI) training within first three months of becoming a House Supervisor.
  • Maintain active NAPPI certification.
