General Summary:
  • Under minimal supervision, this position is responsible for the development and implementation of billing procedures for specific business division, its affiliates, joint ventures and/or managed units.  
  • Supervises billing and accounts receivable procedures as well as the preparation and submission of computerized bills to various and third party payors.  
  • Supervises billing staff responsible for the review of unpaid computerized bills, corrects erroneous charges and rebills, as necessary. 
  • Evaluates effectiveness of billing policies and procedures and billing software; recommends revisions as indicated.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: 
  • High school diploma or GED and some college level coursework in business required. 
  • Minimum of two (2) years progressively responsible billing experience required in order to develop, implement and maintain the billing system. 
  • General accounting knowledge required to accurately coordinate the accounts receivable system.
