General Summary:
  • Under minimal supervision coordinates patient financial related matters for Greenfield Health Systems, its affiliates, joint ventures and managed units. 
  • Works with billing analysts to coordinate, communicate, resolve and technically support patient financial matters. 
  • Performs patient financial assistance duties with knowledge of billing procedures. 
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: 
  • Master's Degree in Social Work required. 
  • State of Michigan Full Social Work License required. 
  • At least 3 years of Social Work experience required. 
  • Strong verbal skills are required. Experience in a renal dialysis setting preferred. 
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with all billing and operations personnel. 
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with patients and their families. 
  • Must be able to travel among various dialysis facilities. 
  • Must be able to work independently. 
  • Knowledge of the various available insurance plans / financial assistance.
