Finish Carpenter - Fulltime - Days (6a-2:30p) - Jackson
GENERAL SUMMARY:
This position contributes to organizational construction projects by providing hands-on carpentry and by providing suggestions for continuous improvement. Serves as a resource for carpentry knowledge for co-workers and hospital staff. Responsible for adhering to all legally mandated guidelines and hospital policies and takes initiative in providing a comfortable and safe environment for patients, visitors and staff.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- High School diploma or equivalent Strong organizational skills.
- Knowledge of commercial construction and remodeling principles, practices, procedures and techniques.
- Ability to read blueprints, maps, charts, etc.
- Ability to understand verbal and written instruction.
- Experience and skill in contributing to team projects with a positive attitude and effective interpersonal skills.
- Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of construction including, metal studs and drywall, drywall finishing, cabinetry and laminate work, ceiling grid systems, painting and commercial door hardware.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
- Experience using and maintaining common construction tools. Preferred Qualifications Chauffers' license preferred
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:
- Current Michigan drivers license and clean driving record
