Position Summary:

Physician Assistant /Nurse Practitioner to provide outpatient and possible emergent, inpatient medical care under the supervision of, but not necessarily in the presence of, qualified physician.  Patient H & P, orders and interprets tests, makes diagnoses and institutes appropriate treatment programs alongside physician. Will be expected to conduct procedures (training will be provided) Works in collaboration with staff physicians, house officers, nurses and other members of the medical care team to ensure patient outcomes are achieved in a safe and efficient manner.  Specific procedures are individually credentialed as indicated by training and experience. 

 

Position Specifics To Date:

Clinic:  Monday - Friday; first patient at 8:00 AM 

              Monday -Thursday; last patient scheduled at 4:15 PM 

              Friday; last patient scheduled at 3:15 PM

              No weekend clinic

 

Inpatient Rounding:   Yes (minimal)

Nurse Practitioner /Physician Assistant Certification.

Ability to problem solve, effective verbal and written communication skills.

Possess strong differential diagnosis, pharmacology and prescribing practices for critical thinking, advanced knowledge of physical assessment of prenatal, neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
