EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 
  • Minimum of 4-8 years of experience including on the job training in fire alarm systems, life safety systems or Pneumatic Tube systems. 
  • Ability to troubleshoot/read basic and complex electrical/electronic circuits and schematics. 
  • Minimum of 4-8 years of experience repairing/replacing fire alarm systems and or pneumatic tube systems. 
  • Minimum of 4-8 years of experience conducting inspections and testing in accordance with NFPA Life Safety Codes preferred. 
  • Minimum of 4-8 years of experience in State and Local Fire and Electrical codes, CMS and Joint Commission regulations preferred. 

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: 
  • Minimum of one or more of the following licenses: State of Michigan Electrical Journeyman's License; City of Detroit Certificate of Fitness; State of Michigan Fire Alarm Specialty Technician; NICET Level 2 certification or higher.
