Director - Service Lines is a financial leader that acts as business advisor and partner to Henry Ford Health System's Service Line dyad Executives to contribute to the attainment of short and long-range financial and business goals. The role reports to the Henry Ford Health System VP of Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Financial Operations (CFO-FO) and supports the service line strategic and operating committees in collaboration with peers from planning, business development, strategy, analytics and quality. This position collaborates extensively with Market finance teams to ensure alignment and integration of service line initiatives into market financial plans. The Director is responsible for the financial management of the assigned areas that includes direct responsibility for long range financial planning, annual capital and operating budgets, monthly financial reports, and ad hoc analyses of the Services Lines.


  • Must have a thorough knowledge of financial management principles and policies including net present value, internal rate of return, break-even, payback period, etc.
  • Master's degree in Business Administration or related field/CPA preferred and a minimum of five years of financial management experience preferably within the health care industry.
  • Must have broad experience with a variety of health care businesses in a multi-unit, diversified organization with complex reimbursement and funds flow models and capable of handling issues outside of finance.
  • Must possess broad knowledge of reimbursement and tax rules, regulations and guidelines.
  • Must possess high-level analytical and conceptual skills.
  • Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have a personal presence that is characterized by a sense of honesty, integrity, and caring as well as the ability to inspire and to motivate others to promote the philosophy, mission, vision, goals, and values of Henry Ford Health System.
