Director - Pharmacy Operations - Detroit McCoy Campus
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Must have obtained an advanced degree (post BS Pharm.D., MS, MBA or equivalent), completed a residency program approved by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, a fellowship in pharmacy, or have demonstrated a similar level of achievement in the practice of hospital pharmacy.
- Prior experience as a hospital or health system director of pharmacy
- Must have demonstrated leadership ability in working with and coordinating the activities of others in developing improved patient care services.
- Must demonstrate verbal and written communication skills which enable him/her to contribute effectively in the dissemination of information to all levels of health care personnel in the institution. He/she should likewise demonstrate a desire to contribute to the pharmaceutical literature.
- Must have a strong background in all areas of progressive hospital pharmacy practice.
- Must have a previous work history of reliability, dependability and progressively increasing levels of organizational responsibility.
- Must be able to work with pharmacy students at the undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate levels.
- Should have completed research which demonstrates originality and investigative ability in an area of pharmacy practice. The work should be suitable for publication in the pharmaceutical or medical literature.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:
- Licensed to practice pharmacy in the State of Michigan.
