Dietitian- Clinical Home Health Care-Detroit
- Professional level of knowledge of chemistry, caloric values, and physical properties of foodstuffs, as well as an understanding of the medical bases for dietetic restrictions.
- This may be acquired through the completion of a Bachelor's degree and an approved dietetic internship or through the completion of a Master's degree in foods, food service management, or public health nutrition and an approved clinical experience.
- Requires a knowledge of Home Health Care's policies and procedures.
- Assists in assessing nutritional status and risk identification.
- Provides nutrition services directly to clients in their homes.
- May conduct nutritional research projects and/or organize and teach educational programs for Home Health Care staff.
- Interpersonal skills in order to communicate effectively with medical personnel and staff; to obtain information from and explain dietetic restrictions to homebound clients and families; and to design and conduct educational programs for Home Health Care staff.
- Registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration is required; membership in the American Dietetic Association is preferred.
- Must possess a current State of Michigan driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.
- Must have reliable transportation and a telephone.
- Pay grade G24- Starting at 21.61 an hour. This rate is the minimum pay for the position. Actual compensation will be based on education, years of experience, and other factors at the time of offer.
