Coor- Laboratory Services - Full Time - Novi/Days
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Completion of an accredited Bachelor's Degree Program in chemical, physical, biologic science, medical technology or clinical laboratory science.
- Requires a demonstrated record of three to five years of progressive responsibility.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, technical proficiency and theoretical knowledge sufficient to perform laboratory functions and to coordinate the quality and volume of work.
- Certification at the technologist level from a nationally recognized national agency such as, ASCP, NCA, ASM, AABB, ACS or HEW is preferred.
- Near Acuity: Ability to see clearly at 20 inches or less.
- Depth Perception: Ability to judge distance and space relationships.
- Accommodation: Ability to adjust vision to bring objects into focus.
- Color Vision: Ability to distinguish and identify colors necessary to perform job duties.
- Must meet or exceed core customer service responsibilities, standards and behaviors as outlined in the HFHS’ Customer Service Policy and summarized below: Communication, Ownership, Understanding, Motivation, Sensitivity, Excellence, Teamwork, Respect.
- Must practice the customer skills as provided through on-going training and inservices.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Regularly exposed to infection from disease-bearing specimens, organs and tissues. Occasional exposure to radiation hazards. Exposures to odorous and/or toxic chemicals and specimens.
