Intake Center Clinician II (LMSW) is responsible for improving mental health and adaptive functioning of patients by ensuring effective assessment and disposition. Completes a full face to face Clinical assessment with patients, family members, consult with the psychiatrist on-call and other directly involved treating physician after each assessment. Collaborates with all members of the health care team and delegates aspects of direct patient care to various caregivers based on their demonstrated level of competence and the patient’s condition.


Minimum Education:

  • Requires a Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW)

Minimum Work Experience

  • Previous experience in a crisis intervention, assessment and/or diagnostic setting desirable

Required Licenses/Certifications

  • Possess a Licensed Master’s Degree in Social Work (LMSW)

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

  • Professional integrity in handling confidential matters.
  • Computer proficiency including Microsoft Work, Excel and email applications.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Full licensure as a LMSW in the State of Michigan
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a mental health setting desirable
  • Previous experience in a crisis intervention, assessment and/or diagnostic setting desirable
