EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Bachelors Degree required.
- Masters Degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years experience required.
- Minimum of 4-5 years experience preferred.
- This position has administrative responsibility for our Institutional IACUC Committee.
- The position is responsible for ensuring efficient Committee operations which include setting meeting agendas, recording minutes, and writing correspondence.
- In addition, this individual maintains the quality of data in the compliance database, monitors approval period lapses, and generates appropriate reports to Institutional Officials and regulatory agencies.
- The position manages the departmental web site for the above committee.
- Knowledge of the Association for the Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animals International (AAALAC), Office of Laboratory Animal Welfare (OLAW), USDA, and sponsor guidelines as they relate to the use of animals in research is required.
- Responsible to ensure that appropriate training occurs for researchers and committee members as required by regulations.
