Stroke Response Team Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant (contingent) – Henry Ford Providence Novi

Qualifications:
· NP – Completion of a Nurse Practitioner training program accredited by the Commission on the Collegiate of Nursing Education (CCNE) or the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC)
· PA – Completion of a Physician Assistant training program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA)
· NP – Certification by a certification body recognized by the State of Michigan
· PA – Certification by National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
Licensure and Certification
· Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state of Michigan, or in process of applying (must have proof of application)
· National certification as an NP or PA (e.g., ANCC, AANP, NCCPA)
· Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required by American Heart Association.
· Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required by American Heart Association.
· DEA/CSL, required through credentialing.
DEA - NPs do not have controlled substance licenses, only PAs. When NPs apply, they will enter MI license number instead of controlled substance license since they won't have a CSL.
Experience
· Prior experience in stroke response and care.

· Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
· Commitment to patient-centered are and continuous professional development.
