Graduate Student Intern Marketing/Communications (Hybrid - Troy, MI) - Health Alliance Plan

Department Duties/Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Marketing Manager of Commercial Strategy, the Marketing Coordinator Intern will assist the HAP commercial group line of business with varying degrees of support in sales and marketing communications campaigns and projects. The Marketing Coordinator Intern will participate in, be engaged with, and learn about sales & marketing projects that encompass member prospecting, acquisition, retention, and engagement having to do with various communications channels including sales collateral, slide decks, and website content. This internship position will assist with project coordination of communication and organization needs, as well as assist with various aspects of the management of various sales and marketing projects.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Currently enrolled in a graduate program in a relevant field such as Marketing or Communications.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe Creative Suite, and data analysis tools.
- Social media proficiency.
- Ability to demonstrate marketing communications/design or writing proficiency.
- Excellent research, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated adaptability, initiative, and a desire to learn and grow.
- Knowledge or interest in healthcare, health insurance, or managed care is a plus.
- Ability to commit to 20-25 hours of remote work per week while in school.
- Full time availability to participate in the HAP intern program in summer 2026 with in person work at the corporate office in Troy, MI.
