College Intern - IT (In person - Troy, MI) - Health Alliance Plan
Health Alliance Plan (HAP) is seeking motivated and talented individuals to join our Information Technology (IT) team as interns for the Summer 2025 Intern Program. The full time program will run May 12 – August 8, with the opportunity to start part time sooner. This paid internship will require the ability to work in person at the HAP building in Troy, MI (commute & housing expense reimbursement not provided).
GENERAL SUMMARY:
This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience and contribute to our mission of enhancing the health and well-being of the communities we serve. As a HAP intern, you will get exposure to various aspects of our organization and work closely with industry professionals, enabling you to develop valuable skills in the healthcare and insurance sector.
PROGRAM DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborate effectively with colleagues across departments to support a positive and inclusive work environment. Contribute actively to team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
Department Duties/Responsibilities:
- Support and maintain in-house computer systems, desktops/laptops and peripherals.
- Will involve installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all hardware and equipment while ensuring optimal workstation performance.
- Troubleshoot problem areas in a timely and accurate fashion and provide end user training and assistance where required.
- This is an on-site position only - no remote work.
PROGRAM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Department Education/Experience Required:
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Windows 10/11 and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Share point) required.
- Help Desk or end user support experience preferred.
