Position Overview:

 

Henry Ford Health System is seeking a Certified Nurse Midwife to provide full-scope midwifery care across antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and well-woman/gynecologic services within a collaborative, hospital-based practice. The CNM will manage low- and moderate-risk pregnancies, demonstrate strong clinical judgment in triage, labor management, fetal surveillance, postpartum assessment, and newborn transition, and effectively recognize and escalate high-risk conditions when appropriate. This role requires proficiency in evidence-based practice and clinical guideline implementation, a strong commitment to patient education and shared decision-making, and the ability to thrive in fast-paced inpatient and outpatient settings while working closely with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Qualifications:

 

  • CNM from an accredited program
  • Current (or in-process) Michigan licensure
  • BLS required; DEA required (or obtained after hire)

 

 

Credentials:

 

Education & Training

·         Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM): Completion of a nurse-midwifery program accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Midwifery Education (ACME)

 

Licensure

·         Current licensure as a Certified Nurse-Midwife in the State of Michigan, or in the process of applying (proof of application required).

 

Certification

·         CNM: Certification by the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB)

 

Required Certifications

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) – required
  • DEA / Controlled Substance Licensure
