*Business Intelligence Developer -Revenue Cycle-Full Time -Hybrid Troy & Remote options
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Under the direction of a Manager, Director, Senior or Lead/Experienced developer, implements a comprehensive program to extract data using a computer programming language or collect data, then analyze it and effectively report information from that data to a variety of customers in a user-friendly and actionable way. This position generates reports, develops tools and provides consultative support as needed. Our customers include physicians, physician groups, physician leaders, hospital leaders, the Board of Trustees, system leadership, transformation consulting, clinical/non-clinical services, Markets, Community, Service Lines, Revenue Cycle, Finance, external oversight/ regulatory bodies, or any user needing information. The Business Intelligence Developer is an independent member of the Core Analytics who helps improve the data driven culture within the Henry Ford health System. The candidate must be able to work collaboratively, to gather data, generate reports, and provide actionable interpretation of information to all the customers. The candidate must be comfortable with presenting information to customers at all levels, including but not limited to executives, physicians, clinical staff, peers, and external oversight/regulatory bodies. Assist in developing comprehensive data assets, ad-hoc reports and implement new or improved automated reporting processes to support goals for business initiatives. The candidate must fulfill challenging requests, manages deadlines, and work with their manager or senior team members to maintain timeliness and quality of the products. The candidate must consistently demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills while maintaining keen attention to detail and high quality.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Bachelor's Degree with a Healthcare, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics/Statistics, Business, OR an Applied Science major.
- One to two (1-2) years of experience in a Healthcare OR Business setting.
- Experience in SQL, advance Excel, report building, tool development, requirements gathering and technical documentation.
- Knowledge of Relational Databases, Data Visualizations, is required OR Knowledge of Electronic Medical Record System (EMR) report development, EMR functionality, any EMR (Epic, Cerner, McKesson or other widely used EMRs).
- Knowledge of fundamental Computer Programming concepts, basic database concepts and Source Code Management (Git). Knowledge of a Business Intelligence tools like Tableau, Cognos, Looker, Toad, Minitab, Power BI, Qlik, SSRS OR any other. Effective written and verbal communication skills.
