EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  1. Bachelors of Science or Arts. Major, relevant coursework or industry experience in life sciences, biomedical engineering or medical technology development is preferred.
  2. An advanced technical and/or business degree is preferred.
  3. Experience in a life sciences environment.
  4. Strong working knowledge of intellectual property protection methods (including patents, trademarks, and trade secret processes as applicable to both a) traditional devices/agents and b) information technology, software, and program/application development), contract law, government laws and regulations related to technology transfer.
  5. Experience in evaluating disclosures/commercialization/licensing in a research institute or university setting.
  6. Some life sciences technical sales, marketing/business or quality/regulatory/clinical background is preferred; experience with a startup company in the biomedical sector is also preferred.
  7. Experience in a specific commercialization process in this area, such as licensing and new company formation or regulated product development, in either a research institute or industry setting is preferred.
